If you are familiar with the Papu Kukri, this would be its fancy relative, its massive and real fighter kukri. The typical features of the early 20th century Nepal Army Kukri´s can be seen by the dual fullers on the blades upper part at the base of the blade. The blade is long and wide, a real Big Belly/Bhojpure kukri that no doubt have a strong martial background. Minor black spots towards the bottom of the b the Raised Clit kaudi.
Dark Kothimora horn handle with the typical Kothimora cream spots. Minor crack, ca. 2 cm long on the upper part of the handle though not “open” and can barely be seen, less then 1 mm wide.
Scabbard in black dotted leather with Kingdom of Nepal´s Coat of Arms in Silver on the top chape and bottom chape with flower-leaf traditional pattern. Minor crack to back side of the leather under the pouch pocket. Original tinder pouch, Karda and Chakmak. Chakmak has some damage to horn handle and black rust on blade. Overall scabbard 9 cm wide and 34 cm long.
A Royal Kukri with a strong martial heritage in its design.
